Wireless Virtualization on Commodity 802.11 Hardware

Wireless Virtualization on Commodity 802.11 HardwareShort Description
In this paper we describe specific challenges in virtualizing a wireless network and multiple strategies to address them. Among different possible wireless virtualization strategies, our current work in this domain is focussed on a Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM) approach. Hence, we we present our experiences in the design and implementation of such TDM-based wireless virtualization. Our wireless virtualiza- tion system is specifically targeted for multiplexing experi- ments on a large-scale 802.11 wireless testbed facility.

ASUS WL-106gM Wireless Local Area Network Card User Manual (For 240 MIMO Wireless Network)

ASUS WL-106gM Wireless Local Area Network Card User Manual (For 240 MIMO Wireless Network)Short Description
MIMO, which stands for Multiple Input Multiple Output, is a technology that uses multiple transmitters and receivers simultaneously to expand the signal range. Taking advantage of multipath propagation, MIMO enabled wireless devices can efficiently increase network throughput, range/coverage, and reliability. Instead of combating multipath signals which is conducted by IEEE802.11b/g standards, MIMO puts multipath signals to work carrying more information. This is accomplished by sending and receiving more than one data signal in a radio channel at the same time. By transmitting multiple signals containing different information streams over the same frequency channel, MIMO provides a means of doubling or tripling spectral ef?ciency.
