Photoshop tutorial Matrix Text Effect

Photoshop tutorial Matrix Text EffectShort Description
Open a new Document, whatever size you like. Give it a black background layer. Create a new layer and select the type tool. Now we’ll get to work on creating that text with all the strange characters. How do we do it? Well, we could spend half the day typing strange keyboard combinations or call on the help of an every day text editor. Since I’m on a Mac the obvious choice is BBEdit. For PC’s, I dunno, maybe word or something will work. What you do is open up a graphic file not supported by the text editor. I found opening a TIFF file worked quite nicely.

Step One:
Open your JPG File. - FILE>OPEN or Ctrl O

Change image size (make sure the box Constrain Proportions box is checked) to under 2500×2500 px. See mine is 3066px….I am going to change that one dimension and it will automatically change the other direction because you have your constrain proportions on. After you have changed it click OK.
