The recommended service intervals apply under normal driving conditions. If you drive mainly in dusty areas, check the air cleaner more often and replace if necessary. The condition of oil, and wear-and-tear items (such as tires, brakes, clutch lining) depend greatly on the amount of driving and on driving habits. Therefore, oil and wear-and-tear items should be checked more frequently, and if necessary replaced at shorted intervals. Also, the battery electrolyte level should be checked more often. A complete maintenance and lubrication service should be performed at lest once a year, preferably before the winter. The same applies to protective undercoating for the vehicle.

CRANKSHAFT PULLEY AND FRONT COVER OIL SEAL - up to 99MY
1. Disconnect battery negative lead.
2. Remove cooling fan. See COOLING SYSTEM, Repair.
3. Slacken 3 water pump pulley securing bolts.
4. Remove alternator drive belt.
5. Remove water pump pulley bolts. Remove pulley.
6. Raise vehicle on four post lift.Remove acoustic cover if applicable. See CHASSIS AND BODY, Repair.
7. Secure LRT-12-080 to crankshaft pulley with 4 bolts.
